Class Descriptions
Pole Dance Aerial Athletics:
Recreational or General Pole Fitness $75/6 week workout
Beginner's Pole
Level One is a 50 minutes class for women of all ages. Attend class once a week for six consecutive weeks during this workout. This class teaches the fundamentals of pole dance and acro pole. Members begin with dance and finish with acro pole. All moves are performed on the ground level and have at least one foot at the floor at all times. Members should arrive with heels, dance sneakers or ballet slippers. Level one may compete on the GDS competitive team on local divisions only.
Recreational or General Pole Fitness $145/6 week workoutBasic Pole
Level Two is a 50 minutes class for women of all ages. Attend class twice a week for six consecutive weeks during this workout. This class teaches more advanced lifts and spin in the acro pole portion of class. Members will develop more coordination, muscle strength, motor and listening skills along with musical and spatial awareness that dance offers. Members should arrive with heels, dance sneakers or ballet slippers. Level two may compete on the GDS competitive team on local divisions only. Members must have completed a minimum of 24 classes of level one within one year to move up to level two.
Compulsory Specific Aerial Athletics $145/6 week workout
Level Three is a 50 minutes class for women whom have completed level one and a minimum of 36 classes of level two. Attend class twice a week for six consecutive weeks during this workout. This class focuses on flying spins, both forwards and backwards. Members will be learning discipline and self control in this level, as well as developing better muscular stamina, body composition, flexibility training and cardio vascular endurance. All levels one through three learn to perform the same routines to the music selected by their coaches. This helps aid in the scoring process during meets. Members should arrive with heels, dance sneakers or ballet slippers. Level three may compete on the GDS competitive team in local, state and national divisions where there is no association with the Adult Entertainment Industry.
Advanced Aerial Athletics $240/6 week workout
Level Four is a 50 minutes class for women whom have completed level three and a minimum of one year at an accreditted pole studio. Attend class twice a week for six consecutive weeks during this workout. This class focuses on flying spins, both forwards and backwards, inversions and aerial acrobatics in a fused dance and fitness format. Members will be exhibiting discipline and self control in this level, as well as developing better muscular stamina, body composition, flexibility training and cardio vascular endurance. All levels one through four learn to perform the same routines to the music selected by their coaches during the competitive season. This helps aid in the scoring process during meets. Members are never required to compete; registration is on a voluntary basis. Members should arrive with heels, dance sneakers or ballet slippers. Level four may compete on the GDS competitive team in local, state and national divisions where there is no association with the Adult Entertainment Industry.
Elite Aerial Athletics $95/month
Beginner's Acro Pole is a 50 minutes class for women whom have completed levels one through three and have passed the minimum requirements. Members will demonstrate discipline, self control, flexibility, balance, coordination and strength as they learn inversions during the acro pole portion of class. These moves are considered the level four in pole and consist of inverting on the pole while utilizing a minimum of three points of contact.
Advanced Acro Pole is a 50 minutes class for women whom have completed levels one through four and whom have had a minimum of two years of elite aerialist training with a reputable aerial athletics institution. Members experience the strictest class regime while learning aerial acrobatics as safety is paramount.
Aerial Hoop is a 50 minutes class for women whom will learn to combine static and swinging trapeze skills with held poses and postures. Women can learn how to maintain balance, poise and muscular control while spinning and swinging suspended in air.
***Weight limit: 165 pounds. Ask a trainer about the prerequisites for hoop. Hoop is a difficult aerial performance sport that has a significantly higher rate of difficulty and risk for injury. Safety is our first concern.
Belly Dance Fitness $35/month
Four (4) week series workshop focusing on the ancient erotic art of hip movements. Belly Dancing originated thousands of years ago to help ease mothers during child birth. The muscles used in belly dancing are exercised in a manner to help aid the women during labor. Berber women would give birth to children without the benefit of modern hospitals.This class is excellent for women that are seeking to try something new and exotic and it's wonderful for pregnant women! Belly Dance members will receive four class credits with this fun workout.
Hollywood put its "erotic/exotic" spin on the dance and transformed the ancestral dance into a "hoochie-koochie" dance. Berber women whom belonged to the same tribe would dance near and around a woman in childbirth. The dancing was used to hypnotize the mother when contractions would arrive. As the pain sets in, some mother's vision tunnels out. As she stares off watching the other women in her tribe dancing rhythmically, she could mimic their hip movements to help her work with the contractions instead of grimace and tighten against the pain. Interestingly enough, men were forbidden to watch the ritual dance.
Chair Vixen Fitness $35/month
Recreational or General Fitness
Four (4) week series workshop focusing on a sexy style of dance using a chair as the prop. Members will learn a fun choreographed routine that will help tone the body. Chair Vixen members will receive four class credits with this fun workout.
Burlesque Fit $35/month
Recreational or General Fitness
Four (4) week series workshop focusing on a sexy style of dance using a old school burlesque inspired moves. Members will learn a fun choreographed routine that will help tone the body. Burlesque Fit members will receive four class credits with this fun workout.
Hand to Hand Combat or Self Defense
This four (4) week series workshop is taught by local Police Officers whom specialize in teaching women self defense. Learn how to survive an attack, free yourself from a choke hold and many other useful techniques. This class is perfect for women of all back grounds.
EXPRESS FITNESS OPTIONS:
Strength Training $25/month
Recreational or General Fitness
Four (4) week series workshop focuses on physical training. Classes will use cardio enhanced activites, plyometrics, pilates and gymnastic drills to help tighten and tone. Women will use their own body weight as a tool in this 30 minute class.
Four (4) week series workshop focusing on stretching, improving flexibility and movement, and general muscle toning. This class is 30 minutes in length and meets once a week for four consecutive weeks.
Cheer Practice $25/month
Recreational or General Fitness
Four (4) week series workshop focuses learning on a small cheer dance routine complete with simple stunts. Women will dance, jump and stunt in this 30 minute class.
Cancan Practice $25/month
Recreational or General Fitness
Four (4) week series workshop focuses learning Cancan dance moves and high kicks. Women will dance, kick and split in this 30 minute class.
