FOR SAMPLE CLASSES
Clothes: Any comfortable workout top & bottom is fine. It's best to wear a top that exposes your arms & shorts for the advanced pole class.
Shoes: Beginners are encouraged to go in tennis shoes. Once you feel comfortable, then we encourage you to move up to high heels. Wearing them will help you get the moves down and give you a great workout in your calves, thighs and bum. Shoes should have ankle straps for safety reasons.
The average class has eight women.
Hand towel. Yoga mats are optional and recommended. Other than that, just bring an open mind and a free spirit!
Lotion and oils are lubricants which will make everyone slip and slid off the poles. It is a serious matter and any pole dancer knows the seriousness of it's nature. Those wearing lotions do get sent home for liability reasons.
The dance moves you will be learning are quite beautiful, intimate and depending upon the individual - risqué. What happens in class stays in class. No outside photography nor video recording equipment permitted. There are no men nor children permitted during class times to ensure
the privacy of all our clients.
Yes. You must 18+ years of age to participate in the Goddess Dance Studio™ Pole Program.
Yes! Gift cards are available for classes or merchandise or both!
Yes. Our classes fill up fast so we encourage you to pre-register by phone or internet.
Goddess Dance Studio™ Hanahan Summerville, Mt. Pleasant and Walterboro all have a two week waiting period to get in.
Yes, our pole instructors are certified to teach pole fitness classes. Our instructors train vigorously in both pole and fitness. Pole Certification requires passing scores in Pole Fitness Anatomy and undergo a minimum of 150 apprentice hours. Each class uses isometric exercises to sculpt and strengthen every major muscle group in the body. We also use a series of yoga based stretching techniques which enhance flexibility and produce long, lean, feminine muscles. Although these classes are not based on aerobic activity, you will definitely attain cardiovascular results.
